Abbie Cardwell's new album Love Is An Amplifier is a heartfelt exploration of love's transformative power, woven through deeply personal stories and rich sonic textures. This album is the result of a profound creative journey—one that demanded patience, introspection, and a deep surrender to time itself.

After a hiatus from songwriting for several years, Abbie returned to it purely as medicine for her soul. Her father's passing, a relationship breakup, her voracious appetite for existential questions, alchemy, the world stage and the loss of her beloved dog were all in the mix influencing the album's direction.

The album is a vibrant sonic journey, blending influences from Abbie's musical past with fresh, innovative new electronic sounds thanks to producer Matthew Engelbrecht. Tracks like Husha Husha introduce dreamy pedal steel contrasted with 80’s electronica, while Love Is An Amplifier delivers a rockier edge. Just What You Love slows things down with a tender, introspective ballad born from Abbie’s own creative drought. A playful nod to an 80's Prince may be heard in her gratitude ode of The Little Things, while a seemingly childish 'kids song' reduces the rules of life into The Game, an invitation to ask yourself, "In the face of it all, how do you love?"

Abbie's musical journey includes winning Triple J Unearthed, BMI USA Songwriter, and ABC Music Awards, along with performing at major festivals like WOMAD, Woodford Folk Festival, and Splendour in the Grass. She's shared stages with legends like Steve Earle, Tony Joe White, David Knopfler, The Waifs, and Kasey Chambers.

At its core, Love Is An Amplifier is an invitation to tune into your heart, embracing the patience and growth that love—and life—demand, ultimately amplifying love in all its forms.

As Abbie eloquently puts it, "Love is the only master you will ever answer to."

Love Is An Amplifier is available now on all streaming platforms.
